* By its decision from 19 November 2025, the Council of Ministers has declared 31 December 2025 and 2 January 2026 as non-working days. The measure is related to the introduction of the euro as the official currency of the Republic of Bulgaria from 1 January 2026. By designating these dates as non-working days, the necessary time is provided for the technical reconfiguration and updating of systems, as well as for the adaptation of the financial and non-financial sectors to the new currency. This will help minimize operational risks and ensure a smooth and trouble-free progress of the euro changeover process.

** According to an amendment of the Bulgarian Labor Code, published on 30^th of December 2016, if the holiday (except Eastern holydays) falls on a Saturday and/or a Sunday, the following one or two working day(s) will be a day off for compensation.
