Traffic on the Danube Bridge between Bulgaria and Romania at Ruse will be suspended on 4 June 2026. Light vehicles will be restricted from 09:00 to 21:00, while heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) will be restricted for up to 24 hours, from 09:00 on 4 June until 09:00 on 5 June 2026.

During the suspension, HGV drivers may use parking areas and rest sites in the districts of Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Yambol and Haskovo. A map of the designated waiting areas and a map of alternative routes are available.

Toll route passes are valid for 24 hours from activation. When planning their journey, drivers should take the suspension period into account, as activating a route pass for travel beyond the Ruse border checkpoint before traffic is restored may cause the pass to expire before it can be used. Route passes may be purchased up to seven days before travel via the National Toll Administration website or through the partner network, and are valid for 24 hours from the selected start time.

Operators are advised to plan alternative routing and to use the designated waiting areas during the suspension.
