On the days around the Independence Day – September 22, during peak hours, the movement of trucks over 12 t will be temporarily restricted on the Struma and Trakia motorways – along their entire length and in both directions, and on Hemus Motorway in both directions in the section from Sofia to the roundabout with road I-4 Brestnitsa – Lovech, as follows:
* On the last working day – September 19, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.;
* On the first day off – September 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.;
* On the last day off – September 22, between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. only for those travelling in the direction to Sofia.
On September 21, no restrictions will be in effect.
The driving bans do not apply to vehicles performing public transportation of passengers.
On Hemus and Struma, vehicles over 12 tonnes transporting dangerous goods (ADR), live animals, perishable food products, and temperature-controlled goods are exempted from the driving bans.
Vehicles carrying dangerous goods (ADR) are also exempted from the restrictions on Trakia Motorway, from Ihtiman junction (at kilometre 34) to Vakarel junction (at kilometre 23) towards Sofia.
