{"id":767,"date":"2026-09-03T16:19:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T13:19:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aebtri.com\/en\/?p=767"},"modified":"2026-09-14T09:11:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T06:11:18","slug":"driving-restrictions-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aebtri.com\/en\/2026\/09\/03\/driving-restrictions-in-september\/","title":{"rendered":"DRIVING RESTRICTIONS IN SEPTEMBER"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"bt_rc_container\"><p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\"><strong>Reminder: <\/strong>According to an ordinance of the Bulgarian Agency \u201cRoad Infrastructure\u201d, issued at the beginning of this year, heavy-duty trucks over 12 tones will be restricted from traveling on some road sections during peak hours related to the official holidays in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">The traffic restrictions apply on the following parts of the national road network:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">\u2013 <strong>Trakia motorway<\/strong>;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">\u2013 <strong>Hemus motorway<\/strong> \u2013 in the section from Sofia (km 0+000) to the roundabout intersection with road I-4 (km 87+800);<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">\u2013 <strong>Struma Motorway<\/strong> and <strong>national road I-1<\/strong> in the section from the Simitli road junction (km 376+100) to the Kresna road junction (km 402+100).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">In September 2026, heavy-duty trucks will be subject to restrictions\u00a0<strong>on the following days and times:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">On the last working day before holidays\u00a0<strong>\u2013 on 4 and 18 September<\/strong><strong> &#8211; <\/strong><strong>from 15.<\/strong><strong>00<\/strong> <strong>till <\/strong><strong>20.00<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">This restriction will\u00a0<strong>not\u00a0<\/strong>apply on Trakia motorway, Hemus motorway and Struma motorway in the direction of\u00a0<strong>entry<\/strong>\u00a0into Sofia;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">On the first holiday (non working day) \u2013\u00a0<strong>on 5 September \u2013 from 9<\/strong><strong>.00<\/strong><strong> till 14.<\/strong><strong>00<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">This restriction will\u00a0<strong>not\u00a0<\/strong>apply on Trakia motorway, Hemus motorway and Struma motorway in the direction of\u00a0<strong>entry<\/strong>\u00a0into Sofia;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">On the last holiday (non working day) \u2013\u00a0<strong>on 7 and 22 September \u2013 from 12<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>00 till <\/strong><strong>20<\/strong><strong>.00<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">This restriction will\u00a0<strong>not\u00a0<\/strong>apply on Trakia motorway, Hemus motorway and Struma motorway in the direction of\u00a0<strong>exit<\/strong>\u00a0from Sofia;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\"><strong><u>Exemptions:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">The restriction does not apply to roadside assistance with specialised equipment for the repatriation of all types of motor vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\"><strong>On<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Hemus\u00a0motorway<\/strong>, in the section from Sofia\u00a0<em>(<\/em>km 0+000<em>)\u00a0<\/em>to the roundabout intersection with road I- 4\u00a0<em>(<\/em>km 87+800<em>)<\/em>, on\u00a0<strong>Struma motorway and national road I-1<\/strong>\u00a0in the section from the Simitli junction\u00a0<em>(<\/em>km 376+100<em>)\u00a0<\/em>to the Kresna junction on the Struma Motorway\u00a0<em>(<\/em>km 402+100<em>)<\/em>, the restriction does not apply to road vehicles over 12 t that provide public passenger transport, as well as to motor vehicles that transport dangerous goods (ADR), live animals, perishable foodstuffs and temperature-controlled goods, and specialised carcass trucks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\"><strong>On<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Trakia\u00a0motorway<\/strong>, the restriction does not apply to vehicles over 12 tones that provide public passenger transport.
