{"id":664,"date":"2026-07-03T11:15:50","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T08:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aebtri.com\/en\/?p=664"},"modified":"2026-09-14T09:11:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T06:11:18","slug":"today-and-on-sunday-the-movement-of-heavy-trucks-on-the-trakia-motorway-the-struma-motorway-and-the-section-of-road-i-1-through-the-kresna-gorge-will-be-restricted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aebtri.com\/en\/2026\/07\/03\/today-and-on-sunday-the-movement-of-heavy-trucks-on-the-trakia-motorway-the-struma-motorway-and-the-section-of-road-i-1-through-the-kresna-gorge-will-be-restricted\/","title":{"rendered":"Today and on Sunday the movement of heavy trucks on the Trakia Motorway, the Struma Motorway and the section of road I-1 through the Kresna Gorge will be restricted"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"bt_rc_container\"><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency informs that today, July 3, and on Sunday, July 5, to facilitate travel during the weekend and to increase safety in the afternoons, the movement of <strong>heavy trucks over 12 tons<\/strong> will be temporarily restricted on the following sections of the national road network:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">on the Trakia Motorway,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">on the Struma Motorway, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">on road I-1 through the Kresna Gorge in the section from the Simitli road junction (km 376) to the Kresna road junction on the Struma Motorway (km 402).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">On Friday, July 3, the restriction will apply <strong>from<\/strong> <strong>4 p.m. <\/strong><strong>to<\/strong><strong> 11 p.m. (Eastern European Summer Time)<\/strong> for heavy trucks traveling in the direction of Burgas and the Kulata Border Crossing Point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">On Sunday, July 5, the restriction will apply <strong>from 3<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>30 p.m. to 10 p.m.<\/strong> for heavy trucks traveling in the direction of Sofia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The restriction does not apply to road vehicles over 12 tons that carry out public passenger transport, as well as to motor vehicles that transport dangerous goods (ADR), live animals, perishable food products and temperature-controlled cargo, and specialised carcass trucks and vehicles of road maintenance companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">During this time, drivers of heavy-duty trucks over 12 tons traveling in the direction of Burgas can use the I-6 Sub-Balkan Road as an alternative route.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">For the vehicles concerned traveling to and from the Kulata border point, the bypass route is along road II-19 Simitli &#8211; Gotse Delchev &#8211; from the road junction of road I-1 with road II-19 in the town of Simitli to the intersection with road III-198 in the town of Gotse Delchev, along road III-198 Gotse Delchev &#8211; Kulata to the intersection with road III-1981 in the village of Chuchuligovo and along road III-1981 to the intersection with road I-1 in the village of Kulata and back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">All drivers can also use other sections of the republican road network, observing the permanent traffic organization in force for them.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency informs that today, July 3, and on Sunday, July 5, to facilitate travel during the weekend and to increase safety in the afternoons, the movement of heavy trucks over 12 tons will be temporarily restricted on the following sections of the national road network: on the Trakia Motorway, on the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-664","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
